Released April 2009 our CD "Keeping the Spirit Alive" !

The song, "Circles Under My Eyes" ©2009, by Phyllis Ann Lee, which you can hear below, got a great review from Taxi's® A&R people.  They liked the country retro style a la Kitty Wells and Marty's Hawaiian steel guitar influence.

We did 11 original songs in all, some you may know like "Blue Subaru" and "Cheyenne Special" and some new ones like "I've Been Thinkin" that explains how annoying behaviors can be all better with a bit of help via a drink or two.Wink

Marty added a new instrumental "Dobro Breakdown" and we couldn't help but include the Hawiian songs "Lavaloha" and "Coconut Tree Swing" since the hawiian dobro work Marty does is SO cool!

Other inclusions are "Lullaby on the Backroad" that tells about a wonderful drive we did one day coming home from Spokane, WA, - "Boomchuck All Night Long" that relates how the rhythm guitar player (Phyllis) feels sometimes.

Our band name The Slide Factor came from  "The Slide Factor" song, one of the first songs Phyllis wrote reflecting Marty's years playing dobro for his 30 years based in Ballard, WA and now at our home in Redmond, WA.

You can check out all these songs and purchase your copy at CD Baby's online store linked below.

In January of 2008, The Slide Factor attended the

River City Bluegrass Festival in

Portland, Oregon.  They met with friends

Ken and Patty Luse to practice some songs

for gigs soon to come.  This video is a version of

Remington's Ride that Dr. Slide gives a

 wonderful bluesy touch to.

Phyllis is calling out the chord changes

on the first go round.
